Materials

Worsted weight yarn:
Color A: white
Color B: blue
Color C: red
Crochet hook: size H or size needed for gauge
Tapestry needle for weaving ends
Skill level: intermediate

Special Stitches:
Beginning Popcorn: Ch 3 in space, 3 dc in same sp, remove hook from loop; insert hook in top of ch 3, pick up dropped loop and pull through, ch 1 to complete.

Popcorn: 4 dc in space, remove hook from loop and insert in top of first dc, pick up dropped loop and pull through, ch 1 to complete.

Front Post Triple (fptr): Yo twice, insert hook around post of stitch indicated and draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops) 3 times.

Directions:

Ch 4 with color B; join with sl st to form ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 3 to count as first dc, 11 dc in ring, join with sl st to top of ch 3.

Rnd 2: (Ch 3, sl st in next st) 11 times, ch 3, sl st in beginning sl st to join. Finish off color B.

Rnd 3: Join color A with sl st in any ch 3 loop, ch 3 to count as first dc, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same loop ( corner made), ( 2 hdc in next loop, 2 sc in next loop, work corner in next loop) 3 times, omitting last corner; join with sl st in top of beginning ch 3. Finish off color A.

Rnd 4: Join color C with sl st in any corner, beg popcorn, ch 3, popcorn in corner ( beginning popcorn corner made), [ ch 1, skip next st, dc in next 5 sts, ch 1, (popcorn, ch 3, popcorn in corner], repeat between  [ ] 2 times, omitting last corner; join with sl st in top of ch 3.

Rnd 5: Sl st into corner, work beg popcorn corner, [ch 1, popcorn in next sp, ch 1, dc in next 5 dc, ch 1, popcorn in next sp, ch 1, ( popcorn, ch 3, popcorn in corner], repeat between [  ]3 times, omitting last corner; join with sl st in top of ch 3. Finish off color C.

Rnd 6: Join color A with sl st in any corner, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same corner, [ 2 dc in each of next 2 ch spaces, ( fptr in next dc 2 rows below, skip st behind fptr, dc) 2 times, fptr in next st, 2 dc in each of next 2 ch spaces, ( 3dc, ch 2, 3 dc –corner made)], repeat between [ ] 3 times, omitting last corner; join with sl st in top of ch 3. Finish off color A.

Rnd 7: Join color B with sl st in same st as joining, ch 3, dc in each st around(19 dc each side), working (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each corner; join with sl st in top of ch 3. Finish off and weave in ends.
