Afghan Requests
Back to Main Comfort Afghan Page

Do you know someone that has recently suffered a tragic loss, been through a rough time, or just having trouble realizing that the rest of the world can be a beautiful place if given the chance? If so, there's a chance we can help. Let us know if you would like to have us create and assemble a Comfort Afghan for your friend, relative or loved one.

Everyone needs to know that there is someone else out there that cares, someone who is there to listen, help, and to comfort.

Send us an e-mail (afghans@heartmadeblessings.org) if there's someone you'd like to receive a Comfort Afghan. Please include the following information:

   1. Your first and last name and email address
   2. Recipient's first and last name
   3. Verified mailing address the assembler will be sending the Comfort Afghan to.
   4. Why you are requesting a Comfort Afghan.

Heartmade Blessings does not play favorites and every possible effort is made to honor each request. The name and address are of utmost importance, as "my co-worker's mother" is not a name. Nor can anything be mailed unless there's an address to mail it to.

In the event of a death, we can do a comfort afghan for the surviving spouse and the children. If the deceased was single, then we can do a comfort afghan (one) for the parents or (one) other surviving relative. If it is the death of a child, we will do one comfort afghan for the parents. Due to our limited resources we cannot do afghans for both the mother and father, brother, sister, cousins, or other relatives.

In the event of illness, we can do one comfort afghan for the person who is ill, but not relatives. If a comfort afghan is requested for the caregiver, then that is the one afghan, in which case Heartmade Blessings cannot make a comfort afghan for the person who
is ill.

And please be patient - we don't have the resources of many other huge non-profit organizations - there are only so many people making squares for us and only so many people assembling afghans. But, rest assured that we will take each and every request seriously and we will make every effort to get as many afghans out to those in need as we can.
