Materials

Worsted weight yarn:
Color A: white
Color B: blue
Color C: red
Crochet hook: size G or size needed for gauge
Tapestry needle for weaving ends
Gauge: makes 7” square
Skill level: intermediate/advanced

Special Stitches:
Baby Bullion St: Yo 5 times loosely, insert hook into space indicated, draw up loop even with loops on hook, yo, draw through all 6 loops (wiggling hook as needed), ch 1 to close.

Bullion Stitch: Work same as baby bullion, except begin by wrapping yarn around hook 10 times.

Directions:

With color A, ch 4, join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, 3 dc in ring, (ch 3, 4 dc) 3 times, ch 3; join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3. Finish off color A.
Rnd 2: Join color C with sl st in any corner, ch 3, [(2 bullion sts, ch 3, 2 bullion sts) in same corner, dc in next 4 sts, repeat between[ ] 3 times; join with sl st to top of first bullion. Finish off color C.
Rnd 3: Join color A with sl st in any corner, ch 1, sc, ch 3, sc in same corner, [sc in next 2 bullions, hdc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, hdc in next dc, sc in next 2 bullions (sc, ch 3, sc in next corner)], repeat between[ ] 3 times, omitting sts in last corner; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 4: Sl st into corner, ( ch 3, dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in same corner, [dc in next 10 sts, (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in corner], repeat between [ ] 4 times, omitting last corner; join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3. Finish off color A.
Rnd 5: Join color B with sl st  in any corner, ch 2, [ 5 baby bullions in corner, ch 1, skip next dc, dc in space between skipped dc and next dc, ch 1, (skip next 2 dc, dc in space between skipped dc and next dc, ch 1) 6 times, ch 1], repeat between [ ] 3 times, omitting last corner; join with sl st to top of first bullion. Finish off color B.
Rnd 6: With color C, sl st in each st around; join to first sl st. Finish off color C.
Rnd 7: Working in same sts of round 5, join color B with sl st in middle bullion of 5-bullion corner, ch 1, 3 sc in same st, sc in each st around ( 21 sc each side), working 3 sc in middle bullion of each corner; join with sl st to 1st sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
